"Drop by anytime; we are always open."

Every year, Nava Designs celebrates Halloween for a full week from October 25-31 (Pacific Time). That's when we release a brand-new posable character from Mel Brook's classic hit comedy, "Young Frankenstein."

You'll need to download the character, print it onto cardstock, cut it out with scissors (a craft knife is helpful), and assemble it with mini paper fasteners . . . and sometimes glue.

If you miss the week-long event, don't worry! We'll have all of the downloadable characters waiting for you right here, all year long. Just scroll down the page a little bit.

  • "Why, thank-you, Doctor."

Hired by Herr Falkstein to be Doctor Frankenstein's laboratory assistant, Inga is a simple villager. She may not have science smarts, but she's more knowledgeable than she appears.

  • "Give my creation li-i-i-i-ife!"

One stormy night, Dr. Frankenstein zaps his creation with the works. Convinced that he has failed, he retires in "quiet, dignity, and grace" . . . which means his lab partners have to carry the blubbering doctor upstairs.

  • "It's in the blood of all Frankensteins."

The secret girlfriend of the previous Dr. Frankenstein, Frau Blücher **horse whinny** lures Frederick into discovering his granfather's work and the temptations of creating a monster.

"It's not rotten; it's a good brain!" Despite her cold exterior, Frau Blücher **horse whinny** is the only one who treats the monster as family and wants to love and nurture him.

  • "He will curse the day that he was born a Frankenstein!"

Inspector Kemp is sent in to confim or refute the villagers' fears of their new neighbor, Doctor Frankenstein. After all, "a riot is an ugly thing, and once you get one started, there is little sense in stopping it."

After a leisurely talk with the good doctor, and one insane game of darts, the Inspector is satisfied that Victor Frankenstein is not building a monster . . . despite the clear warning signs.

  • "Come over here, you hot monster!"

Kidnapped by Doctor Frankenstein's monster, Elizabeth gets the fright of her life which, consequently, turns her hair white. She later discovers, through an act of "deep love," that ol' zipper-neck is one hunky monster.

    Woof!

  • "Tryin' mighty hard to look like Gary Cooper."

To prove to the scientific community both that he is not insane, and that his monster is not harmful, Doctor Frankenstein offers a demonstration at the Buchrest Academy of Science.

During the presentation, a tap-dancing routine goes horribly awry when a stage light bursts, sending the monster into a frightened fit of panic and rage.
