I’m up to 26 icons so far (each with a Mac version). It seems like a lot of the icons are leaning more towards the films rather than striking a balance between the films and the attractions. Still, there are plenty of icons left to sneak in more attraction references.
The entire set will be available to download at the Disney Experience. Keep checking this page for more previews and a release date.
One of my latest artistic endeavors is creating system-wide icons. That can mean creating well over 100 of them for the entire set! So far, I’ve created two system icons: Disneyesque and the Haunted Mansion.
The Haunted Mansion system icons are my latest and favorite. But, I only use them around October/November to really get me into the Halloween spirit. I’m using Disneyesque right now, but it doesn’t quite fit. I have several Pirates of the Caribbean icons that I’ve been using as program and folder shortcuts on my desktop for a long while. I think it’s time for a new POTC system set!
Here’s a blog with a simple idea: post animation backgrounds. Most of the backgrounds are Disney, and they’re usually stitched together from several screen captures (gotta love Photoshop). Some of the best backgrounds are the Sleeping Beauty ones; I just love the detail in the trees and stonework. Well, that’s my opinion, anyway.
